satisfaction survey 2011

We ran the satisfaction survey over a three week period, from 19 September. We were hoping to get an 80% + response this time, having previously averaged 67%. With one late entry we are delighted to report that we achieved an 83% response!

The survey asked ten questions about the overall service provided by St Omer, mainly covering Care issues, but also food, the comfort of the home and the quality of the management.

Answers were rated from Excellent (which scored a five) to Awful (which scored a one). The good news is that the lowest we scored on any question across all responses was OK (which we have taken as satisfactory) and which scored three.

One Resident answered OK to every question, but we have taken this to mean that the Resident is satisfied with the service we provide and had no specific criticisms.

We have spoken to the other two Residents who answered OK to at least one question, to ask where they feel we could improve. Where it was possible to be specific we have documented a mini action plan to implement some small changes, which we will monitor over the coming months.

Overall 8% of responses were OK, 30% were Good and 62% were Excellent.

Clearly we are extremely pleased to achieve a record response to the survey and to record extremely positive results.

Please be assured, however, that we will not be complacent and will continue to aim to improve all aspects of the services we provide.

Jo and I would like to thank everyone who contributed towards the survey.
